Sacha Baron Cohen of “Borat” fame reportedly has done it again. A crowd in Fort Smith, Ark., recently fell victim to one of Baron Cohen’s practical jokes for his upcoming movie “Bruno,” about a gay Austrian fashion reporter. In the latest prank, folks were drawn to a convention center for what they thought would be a cage fight. Instead, they witnessed two men ripping each other’s clothes off and kissing in a display that “went right up to the line” of the city’s morality laws.
The Arkansas stunt followed one right up the road in Carrollton in May, when a crowd was paid $50 a head to come to an office park for what they thought would be a filming for a new talk show on “family values.” Michael Granberry of The Dallas Morning News reported recently on that incident, which his son attended:
“Bruno was at his outrageous best – or worst – Ted said, even trying at one point to openly seduce a stereotypical good ol’ boy. The man fired back by saying that he hoped to introduce Bruno to his Smith & Wesson.
“The flashpoint came when Bruno brought out a toddler who appeared to be no more than 1 or 2, a baby boy who wore a T-shirt proclaiming that he was gay.”
