Sasha — fierce at Lizard Lounge

On Saturday, North Texas lesbian promoter Brooke Humphries brought in Welsh superstar mixer Sasha (a.k.a. Alexander Cole), pictured, to spin at Lizard Lounge for Sasha’s “Invol2ver” tour.
The joint was thick with 24-hour party peeps — club kids whose pupils were as big as saucers.

Sasha’s electro-house set was cold and spare, almost cruel. The whole night was so Euro-cool, I doubt any vocal tracks made it through Sasha’s iMac G5 and Ableton Live software.

Sasha, along with collaborator John Digweed, has worked the electronic music A-list with remixes of  Pet Shop Boys, M-People and Madonna. In Dallas, he delivered a savvy blend of trance, breakbeat and house grooves.

It was a night of non-stop glowstick-waving.
