Bobby Jack Singleton likely will be sentenced Thursday after being convicted Wednesday afternoon of aggravated robbery in the July 2008 beating of Jimmy Lee Dean in Oak Lawn. The court adjourned for the day shortly before 5 p.m. after jurors heard witness testimony in the punishment phase of Singleton’s trial. The prosecution and defense will begin their final arguments at 9 a.m. Thursday, before handing the case back over the jury to decide a sentence. Singleton faces five to 99 years in prison.
