Semi-Reasonable Tips On What Not To Do When You’re Bullied

Not sure I agree with Hart, a bullying victim herself, that if you simply "embrace who you are" bullies "will start to realize you don't care what they think anymore," because these types of monsters don't necessarily give a crap what you think anyhow — it's about their own cowardice. And sometimes bullying turns into something much worse than errant teasing, and a violent response just might be necessary. But I do appreciate a PSA that includes the line, "BITCH! You got me fucked up, okay."

Will Anderson Cooper Tell The World Whether He Was Bullied For Being Gay?

Anderson Cooper and his network, like much of the mainstream media, have been responsibly covering the gay teen suicide epidemic for days now. The Coop is even hosting a special town hall special on Friday about the problem. But as Anderson interviews other celebrities and bullying victims, all I can wonder is: How come Anderson isn't telling us his personal story?

Knights Of Columbus: We’re Too Powerful To Be Bullied About Our Pro-Prop 8 Donations

The Knights of Columbus, the Connecticut-based Catholic group, in 2009 donated some .4 million to the National Organization for Marriage, more than it used to fund to food and educational programs. But while that information was already known, what's worth noting is that while NOM has gone to court to hide its donor list, KoC freely disclosed its pro-discrimination donation. How come? Says spokesman Patrick Korten: "The fact of the matter is that those who favor same sex marriage are working hard to intimidate individuals and groups that support our cause, but [the Knights] are big enough that intimidation doesn’t work on us."

When Focus on the Family went on CNN to support letting gay kids get bullied

There’s a right way to prevent bullying — and there’s the right wing way, which doesn’t work and would let gay kids get bullied. You’d think at some point these Focus on the Family types, like Candy Cushman, would be embarrassed about their positions. I mean, trying to block legislation that would protect kids? They’re disgusting. It’s always about sex and the secret gay agenda with these whackos.
