Jay Brannan will release his second album of original material after 2009′s In Living Cover album stocked with a fascinating selection of remakes. Initially, Adam Lambert’s sophomore album, Trespassing, was to be released this month, but that clearly changed. Today, I got the official word that the album is slated for a May 15 release and will feature a duet with fellow out singer Sam Sparro along with producing and songwriting work by Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Bruno Mars.

Brandi Carlile announced she’ll be releasing her fourth studio release. Bear Creek is scheduled for release on June 5 with the preview single, “That Wasn’t Me” will make the radio rounds starting in April.

Scissor Sisters also works with Williams on its upcoming fourth album Magic Hour. They also collaborate with Calvin Harris and Diplo for the May release. The album’s first single was released in January.

Lastly, I learned that Tegan and Sara are in the studio working on their seventh album “with three separate producers on the album: Greg Kurstin (The Shins, Lily Allen, Sia), Mike Elizondo (Regina Spektor, Mastodon, Rilo Kiley), and Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Neon Trees, M83, Moving Units),” as their press release mentioned. No specifics have been mentioned, but Rolling Stone is documenting the behind-the-scenes process of the album’s creation.

Remixed by Diplo and Lunice, this “Helicopter” video is a lot of back and forth imagery, but somehow it fits right into Deerhunter’s m.o. of dreamy indie rock.
