Oak Lawn man killed by downed power line was active in bear, leather communities

Robert Ragan

The Oak Lawn man electrocuted by a downed power line Tuesday night or early today has been identified as 35-year-old Robert Ragan.

Ragan was found dead outside the the Sycamore Tree Apartments, at 5051 Lahoma St., where he lived. Dallas Fire-Rescue officials say Ragan came into contact with a power line that had been knocked down by a tree limb in Tuesday night’s storm. The Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that Ragan died from accidental electrocution.

Ragan was gay and has been active in the local bear and leather communities, as well as the United Court system, according to reports. He had also worked as a gay porn actor/model who went by the name Robert Elephante.

According to his Facebook profile, Ragan graduated from Mesquite High School in 1994 and the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

A man listed as Ragan’s boyfriend on Facebook couldn’t immediately be reached.

Dallas hip-hop musician T-Cuz responds to gay porn allegations, says images were ‘digitalized’

T-Cuz, left. Real or ‘digitalized’?

On Tuesday, JamWillis of Blog on Blast posted this item about Dallas rapper T-Cuz allegedly doing gay porn. Immediately, I went over to TCuz’s Twitter feed to see what the buzz was. Some people defended him, others told him to own up, and he responded that he likes [women] too much to be gay, cluttering the feed quickly. It became such an issue, that the unsigned rapper started to trend in the DFW Twitter community. That’s major.

In the post, JamWillis said photos had surfaced from the porn of T-Cuz and a dude. T-Cuz claimed the photos had been “digitalized.” But by the looks of the photos at this link, I don’t see how that’s possible. Just sayin’.

JamWillis and cohort Zeralyn caught up with T-Cuz and confronted him about the video in an interview. They posted it online Wednesday and the interview is gold. T-Cuz gives explanations about the magic of filmwork and editing and ponders the idea of Zeralyn’s hypothetical offer of $10,000 for doing gay porn. Part one is below.

It’s all quite the drama. I’ve attempted to contact T-Cuz but have had no response. I can say one thing — on his Twitter feed, I never saw a tweet from him bashing gays or pulling a 50 Cent. Gay or not, I kinda give him props for that. Unless I just missed it, in which case I take it back.

BTW, consider the above NSFW. Especially, the link to the pics.

Ugandan pastor uses gay porn to push anti-gay bill

As lawmakers in Uganda continue to consider legislation that would impose the death penalty on anyone convicted of “aggravated homosexuality,” of being HIV-positive and having sex and having gay sex with someone under 18, and which would punish people who know someone else is gay and doesn’t report them to police, one pastor there is going all-out in his support of the proposed law.

The Christian Post is reporting that Pastor Martin Ssempa on Wednesday decided to show his congregation — including some children, apparently— photos that appear to date to the 1970s of white men engaging in gay sex. And, the Web site says, it isn’t the first time. Last month, Ssempa took to the pulpit and played a “disgusting power point about what ‘homosexuals do in their bedrooms.’ (or what he thought occurred),” according to a blog post from a Pacific Luthern University student stuyding in Kampala.

Gay rights groups have condemned Ssempa for showing pornographic images to children, and even some of the folks who support the anti-gay law think the pastor went too far.

But Ssempa is unrepentant. He said, “In Africa, what you do in your bedroom affects our clan, it affects our tribe, it affects our nation. We are in the process of legislation and we have to educate ourselves about what homosexuals do.”
