Rosie plans on making Texas her new home

At least that’s what it sounded like when she visited Oprah yesterday. She discussed her break up with longtime partner Kelli Carpenter and how they are handling and splitting the parenting duties of their four children. But Rosie has also found a new love in Tracy Kachtick-Anders, a Texas artist with six kids of her own. Rosie told Oprah she’s planning on moving in with Kachtick-Anders and do the whole Brady Bunch thing. Kachtick-Anders lives in the Houston-Galveston area.

USA Today reported from the episode:

“So you’re gonna blend the families?” asked Oprah. “The six kids and the four kids … ”

“Yes,” says O’Donnell. “Can you imagine?”

“No,” says Winfrey.

“I know,” says O’Donnell. “A lot of people can’t.”

Ellen and Portia give their first official interview today on Oprah

Together at last.
Together at last.

I dunno why it’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year since Ellen DeGeneres married actress Portia de Rossi. It’s even¬† harder to believe they haven’t been interviewed together since then. Perhaps red carpet interviews don’t count. Today, the power lesbian couple talk about married life and more on a very special episode of Oprah.

Oprah airs on WFAA channel 8 at 4 p.m. and rebroadcasts on KFWD channel 52 at 8 p.m. Now if anyone can TiVo this for me, that would be great.

Don't forget Oprah comes to the Fair Monday

The big O is about to meet Big Tex.
The big O is about to meet Big Tex.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Oprah brings her show to the State Fair Monday. It should probably attract a few people. They are saying 4,000. Personally, I’d say a gajillion people but what do I know. Oprah seems to have that kind of drawing power. To top it off, Martina McBride will be performing as well. The deets on the event sound surprisingly easy considering the magnitude of her appearance in an already crowded place. However,¬† you need to know this now in case you have full intention of seeing her live.

The information follows the jump.
