Photo: Transgender Model Lea T. Kisses Kate Moss on ‘Love’ Mag

Lovemag

For LOVE magazine's 'androgyny issue' they paired Kate Moss with transgender model Lea T. Apparently Justin Bieber is involved a second cover but it's unclear whether this pair will join him on it.

You may recall that Lea T. graced the cover of Lurve back in November.

Photo: Paul Walker Shoots Ad For Davidoff Cool Water

Paul
Davidoff Cool Water has good taste. A few years ago, they chose Josh Holloway to represent their fragrance but they've just announced that they'll use Paul Walker face and body to sell their cologne. DCW explains their choice: “(Walker) truly embodies the values of this legendary fragrance. Not only thanks to his personal commitment around oceans, but also for his intense energy, powerful masculinity and cool attitude that characterise him.”

Walker showed off some of that intensity, masculinity and coolness while filming a DCW ad in Hawaii.

Astronomers Release Photo of ‘Strangely Alive’ Green Gas Blob

Blob

Yesterday afternoon, Hubble astronomers released a new photo of a blob of gas was discovered by a Dutch school teacher in 2007 named Hanny's Voorwerp. They said it is "strangely alive" and giving birth to new stars in an area of space where stars don't usually form.

The AP:

Parts of the green blob are collapsing and the resulting pressure from that is creating the stars. The stellar nurseries are outside of a normal galaxy, which is usually where stars live.

That makes these "very lonely newborn stars" that are "in the middle of nowhere," said Bill Keel, the University of Alabama astronomer who examined the blob. The blob is the size of our own Milky Way galaxy and it is 650 million light years away. Each light year is about 6 trillion miles.

Draw your own conclusions.

‘One Night of Queen’ to rock Fair Park in March

With all the attention focused on the Super Bowl and groups like Prince coming to play that weekend, you may have missed the fact that in March, you can see Queen.

Of course, that’s kinda hard since lead singer Freddie Mercury died of AIDS nearly 20 years ago. But it is the next best thing, as the above photo can attest.

Gary Mullen and the Works perform the show One Night of Queen, re-creating the flamboyant musical style of one of the signature bands of the rock era. In the vein of Beatlemania, the concert is a tribute mirror of the original.

The performance takes place March 27 at Fair Park Music Hall. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.com.

Photo: Crocheted Wall Street Bull

Bull

Before the blizzard hit this week, NYC street artist Crocheted Olek hit Wall Street with her most recent stealth art piece. I've posted her work before (see here) but it seems to be getting a bit more monumental.

Olek (whose real name is Agata Olek) crocheted a coat around the famous Wall Street bull, which lasted for about two hours, she says.

Olek writes: "It was truly a year of guerrilla actions that opened a new path in my crocheted investigations.
I started it with a bike and ended up with the Charging Bull as a Christmas gift to NYC and a tribute to the sculptor of the bull, Arturo di Modica, who in another guerrilla act, placed the bull on Wall Street in Christmas of 1987 as a symbol of the 'strength and power of the American people' following the 1987 Stock Market crash."

Meet the real Phillip Morris

Phillip Morris

In this week’s issue, I have an interview with Phillip Morris, the real-life gay guy whose life story is portrayed in a new (and terrifically funny) Jim Carrey-Ewan McGregor movie, I Love You, Phillip Morris. The article doesn’t include a photo of Morris (I didn’t get it until too late), so here instead online is a recent one, taken last month at the film’s premiere.

Ceara Sturgis’ Tuxedo Yearbook Photo Has Come To This: A Bikini Photo

Having refused to let Ceara Sturgis appear in her yearbook photo wearing a tuxedo — or even print her name among classmates — the Wesson Attendance Center in Mississippi earned itself a lawsuit from the ACLU. So how is the school responding? By trying to discredit Ceara by proving she sometimes does wear lady-like clothes. Like a bikini. And they'd like the court to see a photo of her wearing one.
