‘A-List: New York’ returns in the fall

We already knew Logo was casting for The A-List: Dallas and Los Angeles, but word comes today that A-List: New York will return in the fall as well. Reichen will be back with Rodiney (still his boyfriend — I was at brunch with them in New York on New Year’s) as well as the back-stabbing Austin, and basically irrelevant regulars from last season Mike Ruiz, Ryan, TJ and Derek. Logo’s also promising some new faces.

Still no word, though on when the Dallas and L.A. editions will begin airing.

HomoQuotable – Reichen Lehmkuhl

“I don’t appreciate your bullying words. You can save your ‘vapid queens’ comment for, well, no one. I can’t even imagine speaking this way about other human beings. That you would reduce my existence to someone who is a ‘vapid queen’ says more about what you don’t know about me, along with the kind of person you must be. Is this seriously how a ‘senior editor’ at a magazine talks about people?” – Reality show cast member Reichen Lehmkuhl, responding to the editor of Next Magazine, who says that each “cringe-worthy” episode of Logo’s The A-List “probably canceled out 100 ‘It Gets Better’ videos.”

Reichen is Not a “Vapid Queen”

REICHEN LEHMKUHL AND RODINEY SANTIAGO X390A-List star Reichen Lehmkuhl is none too pleased that an editor for New York’s gay nightlife guide Next Magazine called him and boyfriend Rodiney Santiago “vapid queens,” sending an email to the editor and likening his words to “bullying.”

Reichen Lehmkuhl Figured You’d Take Issue With A-List’s Brand of Gay

We're a very insecure community about the way that we are portrayed or the way we're thought about by straight people. We've sort of been beholden to the way straight people think about us, and we let that control our community a lot of the time. … If you think we're a bad representation of the gay community, it's like, every gay person knows … we all know the way these seven guys, including myself, act on the show are an accurate representation of the way a lot of gay people act.

—Reichen Lehmkuhl, who says he's on board for another season of A-List: New York if they want him, expected The Gays to have a problem with how the show portrayed gays but isn't necessarily paying much mind to it [AfterElton]
