Early voting is underway

I voted this morning at the Oak Cliff Sub-Courthouse. There was no line and it took five minutes.

“Oooo. You’re so civic minded. Do the census. Go vote,” annoyed friends have told me.

OK, I admit it. I still hate jury duty.

But voting? It’s simple. It’s convenient. The polls are open today through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. A list of early voting locations in Dallas County is listed below. If you live in Dallas County, you can vote at any one of them. Or you can wait until Election Day, Tuesday, April 13, and vote at your local precinct.

My ballot had seven races. Turnout in runoffs is traditionally low. Upsets are common because of that low voter turnout.

So make a difference and get out and vote.
