Lone Star Ride hosts their fourth annual casino night which is so much more than a poker felt on a table. Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Hold ‘Em poker all come in to play tonight as players feel like they are in Vegas for the night. Hopefully you’re a good player because all those winnings can be spent on the silent auction which includes gift certificates, hotel packages and so much more.

It’s a blast of a night and all you have to throw down is cash for the ticket. The chips are given to you upon entering. How can you possibly beat that? Well, maybe by helping raise money for Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS, that’s how.

Tax Day Demonstration at Main Post Office

Keeping the peace

Pro-Equality activists get together tonight at the Main Post Office for a peaceful demonstration to remind the city at large that LGBTs pay the same taxes as everyone else but they just don’t get all of the rights. Sounds wortwhile and if you haven’t filed, well, finish that up and head down to the post office tonight to drop off and then demonstrate. You’re even encouraged to take sings and banners. Not only will you be performing a civic duty, you can also be creative.

So is this what we’re in for: Anything that happens from this point in time forward is all part of same-sex marriage’s supposed “slippery slope”? Every time a gnat farts out a wind that drifts too leftward, and I’m going to have to answer for the ring that proudly resides on my left hand? Really?

And ironically: This circumcision proposal is making use of California’s ballot initiative system, the very system that Prop 8 proponents like Maggie used for their own purposes. So if we were going to connect it to any prior thing (though we probably wouldn’t), wouldn’t it be most logical to look back on those other times that the CA ballot was used to fulfill a motivated group’s personal whims? We’re thinking so.

And predictably the gay porn blog comment boards are lighting up with people denouncing Wyler and bareback studios as reckless. But those who are upset because gay porn "should promote safe sex" are also full of crap.

Too juicy: Audience Member AT CPAC Yells To Cheney ‘You’re A War Criminal’

The annual convention has attracted about 11,000 conservatives to the nation’s capital, many of them young supporters of libertarian icon Ron Paul. They were ready this afternoon to show their opposition to the Bush administration when former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was presented with the conference’s “Defenders of the Constitution” award.
Loud boos resounded through the convention hall as Rumsfeld’s name was announced on stage. The numerous young attendees got up from their seats and filed out of the room in protest.
The commotion only grew when former Vice President Dick Cheney surprised the audience by showing up to honor his longtime friend and White House colleague.
The crowd was on its feet, some cheering “Cheney for president!” The boos from CPAC’s libertarian contigent continued and at times interrupted Cheney’s remarks. “America is stronger and more secure” because of Rumsfeld’s service, Cheney said, prompting one person to loudly shout, “Where’s bin Laden at!”

The Department Of Justice Wants To Know How Often You’re Manhunting

Big Brother isn't the only one who wants to spy on gays and other otherwise private citizens. Big Brother does too. In a new proposal that would require Internet service providers (ISPs) to track and retain usage information about their customers — from what websites they visit to their assigned IP addresses — the Justice Department claims law enforcement efforts are "stymied by a lack of data retention" and the problem is getting "worse." Which means they want your telecommunications providers not only to keep track of where you're going on the web, but maintain a log of those records should the FBI need them in the years to come. Is this an invasion of privacy on a monumental scale? You bet it is. Such requirements, while raising plenty of First Amendment flags, would mean your Manhunt, Compatible Partners, DaddyHunt, and TransPassions visits are tied to your online profile for…ever? You know, because the federal government is so good at keeping its own confidential communications, uh, confidential.

Joel Osteen Knows You’re Living In Sin, But He Won’t Rub It In Your Face

Joel Osteen, one of those smiling bigots who uses Jesus as an excuse to get rational human beings to allow him on television, tells Piers Morgan in an interview this week that, yes, he still believes homosexuality is a sin. How does he know? Because the "scriptures shows that it's a sin." But don't worry, he's not out there to "bash homosexuals," because he doesn't bash shrimp eaters either! Then he reminds viewers he "didn't go to seminary," which to me just says he's actually an unqualified bigot.
