We’re putting together the paper today, and I haven’t even started my story on the presidential race, but I couldn’t resist alerting our faithful Instant Tea-baggers to this story in yesterday’s Washington Post about Hillary Clinton’s gay support in Texas. The author, Jose Antonio Vargas, apparently spent Tuesday night at Friends, the well-known gay bar in Gun Barrel City. I love this line from the story:
“And far from the primped-up, tight-jean-wearing, I’m-eternally-single-and-loving-it vibe of Oak Lawn, the gay neighborhood in Dallas, Friends is a more laid-back, welcoming place full of older, middle-class and mostly coupled-up patrons.“
Primped-up? You’re too nice, Jose. Way too nice.
