Wolf to attack gay press issue

For those who’ve been following the Obama/LGBT press scandal, here’s a sneak preview of the front page from The Philadelphia Gay News this week, courtesy Publisher Mark Segal. Last I checked, the page isn’t up on the newspaper’s Web site yet. What’s up with that, Mark? Dallas Voice’s Web site was updated like 12 hours ago!

Who knows, maybe Mark just hasn’t updated the Web site because he wants to bask in the glow of last week’s front page, which gave Obama the deadly blank space treatment. As you can see, this week’s PGN takes a much kinder, gentler approach, attaching a graphic to the side of Obama’s head stating that he hasn’t talked to the LGBT press in like 9 million years or something.

One last thing: I reported in today’s Voice that Segal was set to appear on CNN last night to talk about the whole issue of Obama snubbing newspapers like The PGN and Dallas Voice.

“CNN was bumped till tonight I’m told by the producer,” Segal said in an e-mail this morning.

So tune in tonight to Wolf Blitzer’s “The Situation Room,” because apparently, folks, we’ve got a real situation on our hands.
