UT hires out gay man as associate athletics director

Drew Martin, who came out as a gay man in an interview with Outsports magazine in 2014 when he was associate athletics director at TCU in Fort Worth, has been hired at executive senior associate athletics director for external affairs by the University of Texas, Outsports reported this week. VIDEO: DPD asks for help in ID’ing package thief

Dallas police are asking for help in identifying a man who stole a package from the porch of an Oak Lawn-area residence late last month. DPD posted video on their blog of the suspect — “who appears to be a black male in his late 40s to early 50s, with black Converse-type shoes, a black ball cap turned backwards and jean shorts” — as he walks up to the front of a residence in the 3800 block of Brown Street, just off Oak Lawn Avenue, and steals a package left on the porch.
