Shore thing
Del Shores returns to expound on the hilarity that is his life. He’s found his knack for stand-up comedy through storytelling rather than joke-punchline-repeat. And he assures nothing is off limits in Naked. Sordid. Reality. Which we take to mean he isn’t done talking about his recent breakup with singer Jason Dottley. Oh, we’re there.

Forget the IMAX
The inaugural Oak Cliff Film Festival gets underway showcasing local and statewide films with a few national and international screenings to boot. But the real gem may be all the cool venues the OCFF is home to. The historic Texas Theatre, the Kessler Theater, Bishop Arts Theater and the Belmont Hotel all screen films through the festival to make for a different feel. You know, the way Oak Cliff likes to do it.

Various venues
$10 per film.
Through June 17.
