It was shortly before 2 a.m., EST, on Sunday, June 12 when a gunman walked into the Orlando nightclub Pulse with a semi-automatic assault rifle and started shooting, killing 49 people and wounding 53 more before police killed him.
Less than 24 hours later, Cassie Nova (aka James Love) and the other performers at Station 4 took to the stage in The Rose Room, doing their part to help Dallas’ LGBT community move forward in the wake of tragedy.
Dallas Morning News reporter Naomi Martin interviewed Cassie for this article on her feelings about Orlando shooting and the country’s reactions to it. The paper also posted the video below.
Cassie is a regular contributing columnist for Dallas Voice, and we wanted to say nice job Cassie Nova. We’re proud of you, and proud to have you as a Dallas Voice contributor.
