I grew up in the heart of the Bible belt and like every good Kansas boy, I went to the University of Kansas and somehow after 4 or 5 years they gave me a BS in Journalism. (My dad always said I was good at the BS part)
After graduating college with my new degree in hand, I began my radio career as an unpaid intern! My parents were so proud! I was, thankfully, quickly hired on in the promotions department and worked in radio for about 10 years.
In my spare time, I also worked in the Sponsorship Department of The American Royal. The Royal is one of Kansas City’s largest non-profit agencies, giving out over 2 million dollars annually in scholarships! (What can I say…I’ve been told I’m a giver!)
I ventured briefly into the world of Broadway before packing my bags and moving to TX. For the past 5 years I’ve become the Advertising Man at The Dallas Voice…and I love it!
I have a terribly cute dog and live with a roommate that I can (sometimes) tolerate.
