Joe Weldon Cloud, 66, died of cancer on Dec. 12 at Legacy Founders Cottage in Dallas.

Cloud was born in Brownfield, Texas. He attended Peacock Military Academy high school in San Antonio, and had lived in the Dallas area for the last 12 years.

Cloud had retired as a sales executive with National Food Service Industry Firms. He was a former senior warden and vestry member at St. Peter’s By the Lake Episcopal Church in The Colony, and at the time of his death was on the board of directors for Legacy Counseling Center and Legacy Founders Cottage.

He is survived by his daughter, Ciena, and her husband, Bill, of Bedford; his daughter, Jill, and her husband, Cary, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his grandchildren, Alexa, Jacob and Cody; his sister, Jeanne, and her husband, Bob, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; and his brother John, and his wife, Bunny, of Harker Heights, Texas.

Services were held Dec. 19, at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Dallas. The family asks that memorial donations be made to Legacy Founders Cottage, 828 S. Tyler, Dallas, Texas, 75208, or to St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 6525 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas 75209.
