Dallas ‘toon master captures proud locals: Meet the bibliophile and the boulevard barista

Caven catcher Who: Jonathan "Spooky Dean" Bayne Age: 23 Spotted: at Ross Dress For Less at Cityplace Occupation: Starbucks barista. Former gig: Worked undercover for Caven Enterprises, helping bust underage drinkers. Years ago, Spooky’s car was set on fire — he suspects it was a youngster he caught getting crunky. Likes: Watching foreign films, and on cold nights, walking along neglected historical streets in Dallas.

Good-book granny Who: Libby Nichols Spotted at: the J. Erik Jonsson Library, downtown Dallas. Occupation: Real estate agent; mother of three, grandma to four. Hobbies: reading, jewelry making, gardening and shopping. Married to literature: Libby’s hubby is Christopher Nichols, whose novel "Dallas Blood" (Nazca Plains Corp, 2007) is about Big D’s artsy scene in 1938. Horoscope: Sagittarius, with Leo rising.
