Volunteers from Frito-Lay assisted with the pantry’s move on Friday, Feb. 13.

The Resource Center of Dallas’ HIV/AIDS food pantry is now scheduled to reopen Thursday, Feb. 19 at its new location, 5450 Denton Drive Cutoff.
The pantry was initially scheduled to reopen this morning after moving to the new location over the weekend from its home of 20 years on Cedar Springs Road.
However, the opening has been delayed due to sidewalk reconstruction that will make the new pantry accessible to those with disabilities.
Rafael McDonnell, spokesman for the Resource Center, said the pantry is now scheduled to reopen at 11:45 a.m. Thursday. In addition, the pantry will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday to accommodate clients affected by the extended closure. The pantry is normally closed on Friday.
McDonnell said the pantry gave out extra food last week prior to the move. However, clients needing bagged groceries before Thursday should call Micki Garrison, director of the food pantry, at 214-521-5124.
