Orie is a 6-month-old black-and-white tuxedo kitty. He’s gentle, playful and curious. Orie is a friendly fellow who seems to be good with other cats.


Cadence is a 1-year-old black Labrador retriever. She sits on command, is attentive and eager to please. She’s full grown at about 60 pounds. Cadence should make a great addition to any family.

Cadence, Orie and lots of other cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are available for adoption from the Dallas Animal Services Adoption Center, located at 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more.
