Waylon is a 10-month-old black spaniel-retriever mix that weighs about 35 pounds. She’s an incredibly friendly, playful and lively girl who’s good with other dogs. Waylon loves people and bonds instantly. She has a lot of energy as well as a lot of love to give to her special person.

Jessie is a 2-year-old gray shorthaired tabby. She’s friendly, curious and calm. Jessie seems good with other cats and is loving, affectionate and gentle.

Waylon, Jessie and lots of other cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are available for adoption from the Dallas Animal Services Adoption Center, located at 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more.
