I’ve posted a wrap-up of tonight’s primary election results here. As of this posting at 11:23 p.m., it was still unclear whether Clay Jenkins will face Larry Duncan in a runoff for county judge, or whether Jenkins will win the primary outright. With 682 of 695 precincts reporting, Jenkins had 49.81 percent of the vote, just below the threshold of 50 percent needed to avoid a runoff. In any case, I’m leaving the office now. Perhaps by the time I get home the other precincts will have reported, in which case I’ll post an update.
