HavenCon 4 organizers have announced the newest addition to their lineup of celebrity guests: Texas native Tracy Scoggins of Dante’s Cove, Babylon 5, Star Trek Deep Space 9, Highlander and more.
Scoggins joins Daniel Newman of The Walking Dead,
Tracee Cocco of Star Trek, comedian Cody Melcher, Dragon Age lead writer Patrick Weekes, cosplayer Jay Justice, writer and game designer David Gaider, Bioware lead editor Karen Weekes, comic creator Lilah Sturges and more.
Organizers note that Scoggins, who worked as a model before starting her acting career, is “a huge sci Fan and is often citing Neil Gaiman as her favorite author. As a supporter of gay rights, Tracy has never turned down an opportunity to bring awareness and raise funds to help the LGBTQ community.”
HavenCon, “the only LGBTQ+ geek and gaming convention” in Texas, runs March 29-April 1 at the Doubletree Hilton North in Austin.
HavenCon has a “new charity gaming event” this year, with participants give the chance to team up with Scoggins, Cocco or Newman to “play some of our favorite games with a twist” — like Mario Kart Trivia, Blindfolded Smash Bros and Bomb Corps.
HavenCon is auctioning off chances to “choose your teammate and bid to win an hour-long gaming experience with them Sunday at noon during HavenCon 4: A Cosmic Journey.”
Auctions run through March 10 and winners will be announced March 11. Each auction will contain a VIP pass — no longer on sale) — for HavenCon 4. All proceeds benefit the It’s Your Haven Foundation and HavenCon 4.
