Earlier this month, Arnold Jones posted about KERA’s LGBT content airing for national Pride. Soon after, I received an e-mail about the Sundance Channel’s lineup for Pride month. The channel “celebrates with DOCday programming dedicated to films representing the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community. Airing Monday nights at 7 p.m. CST, the event includes three DOCday premieres.” Films meaning documentaries, just to be clear. So far, they’ve aired “Pageant” and “For The Bible Tells Me So.” The channel has also commissioned five episodes of “Lizzy the Lezzy,” about the “first-ever animated lesbian stand-up comedian,” which probably isn’t the hardest claim to make, but still, we like.
