Don’t strain your brain
Although the band hit it big in the early ’80s, Blondie’s hits never sound dated. Instead they sound cool and classic, much like singer Debbie Harry herself. But the band’s not too shabby either. See the band in the flesh as they bring back the new wave to Dallas.

Yes, you feel pretty, witty and gay

OK, the deja vu of this year’s NBA Finals puts us on edge. The Dallas Mavs and the Miami Heat face off once again, only this time, the Mavs are seeking redemption. The finals start tonight with watching parties all over. Justdon’t start a drinking game on fouls against Dwayne Wade. You’ll get hammered way too fast.
With musical superstars heading this way, we look to the skies for answers
The Dresden Dolls and Girl in a Coma are perhaps one of the better musical pairings this year. At least for the gay contingent. GIAC rocks out the lesbian in all of us and The Dresden Dolls’ is a given with its dark cabaret act resurrected by Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione, much to the delight of the fans who thought their self-imposed hiatus would never end.

What the Indigo Girls are to traditional folk, Coco Rosie would perhaps be the antithesis. The avante-garde popsters are also sisters with one heckuva back story. Vision quests, traveling childhoods and even loss of contact for a number of years, Bianca “Coco” and Sierra “Rosie” Casady reunited and began their musical endeavor.
