On July 31, Hunky’s owner Rick Barton’s car was broken into and $2,000 cash in a bank bag was stolen from under his seat as he made a quick stop at Kroger on Cedar Springs Road.

Two Earth Day celebrations take place this weekend — a two-day event in Fair Park and a Sunday afternoon bash in Oak Cliff. Fair Park’s a great place to learn about saving energy and view exhibits. But Oak Cliff’s mostly gay-organized afternoon is pet-friendly with plenty of free parking. (This is Dallas. And yes, we’re going to drive to Earth Day — at least until we get our trolley next year.)
