Sources: Pentagon’s DADT report will be Tony Perkins’ roadblock, not ours

A Pentagon study group has concluded that the military can lift the ban on gays serving openly in uniform with only minimal and isolated incidents of risk to the current war efforts, according to two people familiar with a draft of the report, which is due to President Obama on Dec. 1.

Tony Perkins Gloats

“Writes distraught liberal blogger, Will Neville: ‘Two years from now, we will look back on November 2, 2010, as the day that far-right Republicans ushered in the most anti-choice, anti-sex ed, anti-LGBT, anti-family planning Congress in our nation’s history.’ We certainly hope so!

“Seventy-four judges were up for retention in Iowa–and only the three who imposed same-sex ‘marriage’ on the state are now unemployed. Coincidence? Of the Maine legislators who redefined marriage in 2009, 22 woke up Wednesday morning without jobs. In at least six state legislatures, where a push for same-sex ‘marriage’ was imminent, Democrats lost their majorities. Say what you will about these midterm elections. But the message to politicians and judges is that there is a political price to pay for imposing a pro-homosexual agenda on people without their consent.” – Family Research Council executive director Tony Perkins.

FRC’s Tony Perkins: Our Hate Speech Deserves To Be Heard On NPR

“This week another group that demands the celebration of homosexuality called on National Public Radio to exclude the viewpoint of Family Research Council and other conservatives because we ‘have nothing productive to bring to the table.’

“We are all agreed that every suicide by a ‘gay’-identified teenager is a tragedy. And there are not two sides to the issue of bullying–we are all agreed that no one deserves to be bullied and that bullies should be punished. But there most certainly are two sides to the claims that orthodox theology and pro-family public policies are to blame for such bullying and such suicides, and the media has an obligation to air both sides, not just attacks by homosexual activists. In their definition of tolerance, the truth that would prevent a young person entering into homosexuality, or that change is possible for those seeking to leave the homosexual lifestyle, must be silenced.” – Family Research Council head Tony Perkins.

Iowa Hatefest: Santorum and Tony Perkins team up to thwart justice and equality. Help stop them.

Yesterday, I posted about the election measure to retain judges in Iowa. Basically, marriage equality is on the ballot, even though it’s not, thanks to the work of the gay haters. Next week, Iowa’s voters will decide whether to retain three State Supreme Court Justices. It’s usually a perfunctory thing. And, the homophobes are trying to hijack and undermine the state’s judiciary — because of the same-sex marriage decision.

NOM is spearheading the effort — and Arisha Michelle Hatch has been tracking them across Iowa. And, you really need to know is that Santorum and Tony “gay kids know they are abnormal” Perkins were campaigning out there with NOM this week. They cannot win.

The Fairness Fund
has an ActBlue page. Donate. Every dollar will help increase their online ad buy. Polling shows that this is very close. So, every vote will matter.

Spare something to stop NOM, Santorum and Tony Perkins.

And, if you live in Iowa, or have friends or family there, make sure they vote YES, YES and YES to retain the Supreme Court Justices.

Tony Perkins: Gay Kids Hang Themselves Because They Know Their Sexual Orientation Is Wretched

There's no correlation between inacceptance of homosexuality and depression and suicide. … These young people who identify as gay or lesbian, we know from the social science that they have a higher propensity to depression or suicide because of that internal conflict.

—Tony Perkins, the perpetual liar and Family Research Council president the media continues to treat as a reasonable person worth listening to, denounces the idea that kids suffering from "abnormal" homosexuality kill themselves because they are bullied

FRC’s Tony Perkins Gloats Over DADT Vote, Asks For More Anti-Gay Money

“I don’t often get to write to you on the heels of a thrilling, public victory. FRC’s strategic team and your prayers and financial support won the day! Yesterday afternoon, the Senate voted down the Defense Authorization Bill — with its candy box of treats for radical liberals. The outrageous amendments to the bill included repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and turning every military installation into an abortion clinic. This is a victory for the men and women who serve our nation in uniform–at least for now they will not be used to advance a radical social agenda. The Wall Street Journal credited FRC with ‘[leading] the opposition to a repeal.’

“Friends, FRC needs your renewed support urgently. FRC’s fiscal year closes on September 30. This is a critical milestone for us, because our financial status at the end of the fiscal year will determine how much we can grow and accomplish in the next year. We have .1 million remaining to raise. It’s important for you to know that FRC doesn’t spend what we don’t have. We have very conservative financial management. We won’t go into debt in order to fight pivotal battles like Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. We don’t have any endowment or large reserves. Together, we can accomplish more victories like today’s win in the Senate. Donate today!” – Family Research Council head bigot Tony Perkins, getting happy with the Lord over crushing the civil rights of fellow Americans.

FRC’s Perkins pissed at Cornyn for talking at Log Cabin dinner

Cornyn is trying to have his cake and eat it too. He claims he doesn’t agree with Log Cabin, but if they agree that all the Senate committees should be chaired with Republicans, then he’s happy to work with them. Yeah, that’s cute, but it doesn’t really fly. If a group of pedophiles wanted the Republicans to chair all Senate committee, Cornyn wouldn’t attend their dinner. Clearly Cornyn is saying that gays are a respectable force in politics, whether or not he agrees with them. And that’s what Tony Perkins, fey as is he is, is getting at. And he’s right.

Here’s a surprise: FRC’s Tony Perkins lied on FTN yesterday

As David Boies said in the great video face-off Joe posted yesterday, of Boie vs. the Family Research Council’s Perkins, the religious right simply lies. And they know that on TV they can get away with it, but when they did it in a court room, on the witness stand, they got stung.

One of their usual big lies, which the ironically fey religious right leader, Perkins, repeated on Face the Nation yesterday: That there’s no evidence that gay parents are good for kids. First off, it’s an interesting twist on an old argument, that belies how badly the religious right is doing. They used to say that the evidence showed straight parents were better, and gay parents were bad. Now that they’ve been caught in that lie, they claim that there isn’t enough evidence showing gay parents are good. Only problem? Yes there is.

Media Matters has pulled together the quotes from the scientific organizations proving FRC’s lie.

David Boies Vs. Tony Perkins

While Ted Olson was over on Fox News ripping apart Chris Wallace, David Boies spent this morning on Face The Nation totally destroying Family Research Council douchebag Tony Perkins. For.The.Win. Boies to Perkins: “That’s just MADE UP. That’s just JUNK SCIENCE.”
